Foster The People - Torches

Foster The People are just plain awesome. Different from any other band out there, they distinctly set themselves apart with their unique instrumental usage. If you haven't noticed I know nothing about music. I just like it. "Call It What You Want" is one, among many others, that is my favorite on the album. If you are cool and read my other post about their song "Pumped Up Kicks" then you know that without a doubt, that song is also one of my favorites. Also, here is "Broken Jaw" a bonus track that came with the purchase of the album through iTunes.

Avicii - "Levels" & "Silhouettes"

Avicii. I don't know much about him but found his song "Levels" on The Hype Machine the other day and have been listening to it ever since. My friend says its too repetitive, but that is of the reasons I like it. It's a good repetitive. With an upbeat repetitiveness to it, it makes me want to get up and dance, and dance the night away.
His next song, "Silhouettes," is like "levels," in that he uses the same type of electronic/synth sound but does it with less repetitiveness and more vocals. His in the middle voice, or whoever's it is, provides a break from the constant beeps and boops in his music. Not saying that it is a good thing that we have a break, just that it is there, and a nice change. It does continue with a majestic, eerie, daunting, musical layering at 2.25, and 5.00, showing the artists different abilities in changing the way his music formulates. Good work, Avicii. I'm on the lookout. Enjoy.
